We at Helping Children Worldwide (HCW) want this site to be a safe place for users.  Please review this policy below. By submitting information to us, you agree that HCW may use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically.  Throughout this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” will mean HCW.   This policy does not apply to the practices of persons or entities that HCW does not control manage or employ.

HCW is committed to respecting the privacy of donors. The types of donor information that it collects and maintains are as follows: Contact information: name, address, telephone number and email address Giving Information on events attended, publications received and special requests for program information. Information provided by the donor in the form of comments and suggestions to Helping Children Worldwide uses donors’ information to understand their interests in its mission and to update them on the organization’s plans and activities. It is shared with staff, board members, volunteers and consultants only on a “need-to-know” basis. The organization also assures donors that their names and addresses will not be shared with any third party.

Financial Information You Choose to Provide

If you choose to make an online donation to HCW, you will have to provide your credit card billing information.  We use IATS as our donation processor.  IATS is a Ticketmaster company and uses the highest level of security on the Internet.  IATS uses Microsoft security protocols and VeriSign to secure all of our transactions.  IATS protects your personal information from such risks as loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, modification or destruction, through appropriate security measures.  IATS considers all personal information as confidential and does not disclose personal information to any third parties.  Your credit card information is used only to process donations and will not be used for any other purposes.

How to Unsubscribe or Contact HCW about Your Information

If you do not want to receive any e-mail from us in the future, please contact us. Note that your donation records will remain in HCW’s database, but your e-mail address will be removed and you will be put on a do not mail list.  If you wish to review the contact information we have on file for you, correct your contact information or provide a change of address, or inform us how you wish your contact information to be used, please contact us.
