HCW raises money all year round for the programs we support and to provide for operations necessary to support those programs.  General Donations are used to support both programs and operations to keep those programs running. We keep admin and fundraising costs to a minimum, as noted in our audited financial statements and nonprofit reports to the IRS.

We urge you to use online donations, as they have been proven to be the most secure way of transmitting money (outside of handing it to somebody in person). However, if you wish to mail a check, our address is:

Designated purpose & special campaigns:

Some donations are designated to underwrite a specific purpose. Select the button below to review the current possible designations, if you would like to contribute to a specific program or campaign.

​Your donation will always be used 100% to fund the designated program or services associated with any designated campaign. All donations designated for a specific purpose through a designated campaign are utilized for the designated purpose. 

Designated Donation Campaigns

It is the generosity of donors who give to support HCW activities and our greatest needs that allow us to function as your philanthropic partner, and HCW those donors and designated campaign donors allow us to provide assistance to local programs in poor communities all across the globe.

We follow the United States charitable giving laws and IRS guidelines on nonprofit management practices with respect to designated and general donations, and hold ourselves and our allies accountable to oversee the charitable funds we distribute to them. We abide by limitations on accepting designated donations, and you can be assured that when donations come through HCW to be applied to specific programs, administrative and fundraising costs are excluded from those donations. 

Family Empowerment Advocacy: FEA and FEAP donations are designated donations to support child protection, child reintegration, and family strengthening in SubSaharan Africa. HCW does not deduct our administrative, management or fundraising costs from these designated donations.

FEA supports the work of the Child Reintegration Centre in Bo, Sierra Leone and FEAP supports the work of the Child and Family Permanency Centre in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
