Are you seeking an internship in Monitoring and Evaluation as it relates to child case care and patient data management? Are you passionate about child welfare and global public health programs in vulnerable populations? We are seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation intern, focused on child welfare and global health, with a capstone/research component that will allow the intern to receive course credit in lieu of payment. Responsibilities include:
- Assistance with developing and refining data collection methods, management analysis and reporting of data with various projects across child welfare and global public health
- Collaborates with Mercy Hospital staff in Sierra Leone, and HCW staff in Virginia, to review statistical data and build capacity in data management in hospital patient and case management data
- Collaborates with the Child Reintegration Center staff in Sierra Leone, and the HCW staff in Virginia, to review statistical data and build capacity in social work case management data
- Supports capacity building for Monitoring and Evaluation staff in Sierra Leone
- Participate in weekly meetings with Child Reintegration Centre and Mercy Hospital leadership or clinical staff
- Support the Monitoring and Evaluation Team Lead on data projects for both Mercy Hospital and the Child Reintegration Centre
- Strong skills and interest in data collection, management and analysis
- Excellent IT, database and research skills
- Knowledge of global health and child welfare programs
- Collaborates well within differing cultures
- Passion for building sustainable programs for those most vulnerable in developing areas
