On September 6 & 7 2019, HCW held a ground-breaking policy conference, Rising Tides: The Future of Global Missions, to engage with influential voices in child welfare, public health, and short term missions, and to explore topics such as:
- Global public health and development
- Program sustainability and community development in developing Countries
- How to do short-term missions meaningfully and ethically
- The evolving role of child welfare programs in the care of orphans and vulnerable children as a part of the movement to transfer children from institutions to family care.
