I am Rosamond Yatta Palmer, a graduate from Njala University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, and the CRC Transition and Coaching Department's new Reintegration Officer. Upon graduation I had the opportunity to with MOVE-SL a local organization that implements community projects in Sierra Leone. Whilst working there, I had the opportunity to facilitate WASH and Community Lead Total Sanitation presentations in various communities. I was in charge of community mobilization, facilitation and monitoring community engagements in building personal facilities.
Later on I moved on to work with a Micro Finance institution with the responsibility of assessing, organizing members into groups, verification, disbursing loans, and organizing group meetings and repayment of loans on a weekly basis. Currently, I have started working the Child Reintegration Centre on the 1st June 2022, and I'm excited to join the CRC and to learn more and work with other child protection agencies to meet the needs of the children we are serving, thereby working together to provide a safer place for children to grow and to have a brighter future. My greatest strength is motivating others to do better, so my role on the TCM team, helping Senior Consultant David Musa to build the capacity of other organizations to care for the children they serve feels like a great fit. I hope to build a career in child protection, and I want to grow within and outside the organization to raise the reputation of the CRC to an even higher height.
